The answer is if it is used to actually STORE files rather than just to transfer them. For instance, a timesheet and work notes may be kept on a flash drive, constantly updated with important information. Working between different PCs on different networks, some of which are not connected to the internet, the use of a flash drive may well be the most convenient way to always have access to these files. FlashBack overcomes the risk of file loss due to flash drive loss or damage. Flash drives can easily be misplaced, or damaged (snapped off while sticking out of the side of the PC), and as such although convenient, are dangerous places to keep files.
